Writing and Assembling a CPG

Writing your CPG

• Simplified CPG Template - Template only for Level 1 CPGs that require less than $50. Use must be approved by the Area VP.
• CPG Template - Empty CPG w/instructions; use this to start your CPG.
• Area and Commission flow chart - helps you choose which Area and Commission your project belongs in. Start with the primary purpose of your project, and find the best answer to each question to arrive at the correct area and commission.

• Sample CPG - A sample CPG from Project Chair Training; use it as an example of how to fill out the CPG Template.

Assembling your completed CPG

• Project Awards - Instructions from the US Jaycees on how a CPG project notebook should be assembled, how it will be judged, suggestions, etc.
• CPG Book Coverpages - An on-line tool for generating one of the two front pages of your CPG book. It's easier than typing, and looks better than hand-writing them. Just in case, here are the blank forms:
  • Awards Form (you have to do this one by hand)
  • Cover Sheet (you can do this one here, online)
• Judging Form for Chairman's Planning Guide (CPG) - This form from the US Jaycees will be used at CPG judging to evaluate your CPG and project notebook.
