Becoming the chairperson/Explanation of project levels

• Chairperson Selection - Ever wondered how a project chair is selected? Also covers how we try to break our projects into several levels based on complexity.

Starting your project

• Writing and Assembling a CPG - Everything you wanted to know about the document that will guide your project. (sample/starter CPGs available)
• Sample Project Information Sheet (PIS) - An example of the document your director should send you (and here is a blank copy)
• CPG Library - An electronic collection of previous CPGs to use as a guide for your project. (also a list of CPGs we have in hardcopy (printed format))
• Storage Inventory - Need some supplies for your project? Take a look at these.
• And don't forget, we most likely have paper plates, napkins, cups, etc. at the Jaycee Office in the kitchen area (talk to your Director for access).

Running your project

• The CLUE Sheet - A training guide for project chairpeople.
• A Sample sign-in sheet.
• The What-to-Keep Sheet - A list of items to hang onto for your CPG notebook.
• Sample Letters - Need some ideas for writing thank you or donation request letters? Take a look through the sample letters in the file archives downloads.
• Jaycee Letterhead (on the File download page) - We have pre-printed letterhead at the office or you can also download and use this document. Hint, get some blank page-2 paper and print onto that...
• Start thinking early about how to publicize and market your event. Please submit any marketing requests to the Business Director using the Marketing Request Form. Not sure what you can do to market your event? Read the marketing tip sheet for suggestions.

Finances

• Check Request Form - Make sure to keep receipts for reimbursement. Turn receipts in with this form filled out and with the signatures of your project's Director and VP. If it's over $1000, you'll need the President to sign as well.
• Deposit Form - Turn in deposits with this form filled out.
