Happy Saturday! I hope you are staying cool in this hot heat!! One thing to help you cool down can be to read an entrancing book! This month we will read, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.” This book was written in 2003 by Mark Haddon. He’s a British writer who uncovers a mystery novel about a 15 year old boy with high functioning Autism who discovers a dead dog in his neighbors yard and decides to solve the mystery in a Sherlock Holmes fashion. Although Christopher (the main character) may have traits of Aspergers, in Haddon’s blog in July 2009 he wrote: “That Curious Incident …is a novel about difference, about being an outsider, about seeing the world in a surprising and revealing way.” Come join us on the adventure to learn about the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time!
Tuesday August 31st at 7:00 pm via zoom we will enjoy conversation about the book! Sharing in what we’ve learned and discussing topics that relate!
I look forward to seeing you all then! Sorry for the delayed notice in reading the book! Although, Jenna has read it and read it in a day so hopefully we all find it enjoyable as well!! You can check out the book at your local library or get it on Amazon or a local bookstore!
