The Raleigh Jaycees Scholarship Program

The 2020 Scholarship Application is closed.
Winners will be announced soon!

Established by the Raleigh Jaycees in 2003, our scholarship programs promote student achievement for those who have demonstrated leadership development through community service. In addition to this application, you must receive the support of a school administrator, guidance counselor, employer, or community service supervisor. Our criteria include merit, character, leadership, and community activities. Additionally, all applicants are asked to answer the following question in 500 words or less: “What leadership qualities have you developed through performing community service and how has your service impacted your community?”

In 2020, we are excited to award FIVE scholarships! Each scholarship is a one time $1000.00 award, which may be applied to expenses for tuition, fees, and required books. Scholarships will be awarded directly to your educational institution prior to the beginning of the fall 2020 semester. Our scholarships are as follows:

  • Four Year College/University Scholarship (two awards)
  • Two Year College/Technical/Community College Scholarship (two awards)
  • The Justin Lloyd Memorial STEM Scholarship, provided by his loving family, for a student entering a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) program. (one award)
