Spend a Thursday evening at the 4th Annual Beer & Wine Tasting Event. Sample beers from a variety of local breweries. Enjoy wines from a variety of vineyards. Purchase food from Tir Na Nog. Try your luck with the raffle. All proceeds will benefit the HOBY NC East event run by the Raleigh Jaycees. Tir Na Nog will donate 10% of the food sales during the event to HOBY NC East.

*In addition to appetizers and sample of beers and wines, admission includes one raffle ticket for a chance at various donated items. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at the door for an early bird discount of $2 each until 8pm then 1 for $3 or 2 for $5.
HOBY NC East The Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) program was founded by Hugh O'Brian in 1958. That year, the actor most famous for his role as Hollywood's Wyatt Earp had the unique opportunity to spend nine inspirational days with the great humanitarian, Dr. Albert Schweitzer at Schweitzer's clinic in Africa. There, Dr. Schweitzer impressed upon him that "the most important thing in education is to teach young people to think for themselves." This thought inspired Mr. O'Brian to create the first Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar, which he founded two weeks after his return to Los Angeles. Throughout the years, the organization has grown and developed. And today, there are over 70 HOBY seminars held each year throughout the United States.
