Raleigh Jaycees CIF Board of Directors meeting – May 2012

Area updates

CF – 5k and Beer & Wine final CPGs will be done next month; looking for bowlathon, Goodfellows, HOBY yard sale chairs; kickball tournament event is not possible for Cindy right now but maybe in the Spring; Jeff Z is donating money through CIF for the Boys & Girls Home at Lake Waccamaw; next staying in is June 30 at the Pettibone’s; Relay for Life is June 1^st so please come walk for any portion of the night – contact Shira to sign-up

CS (Mona) – they need volunteers to sign up for HOBY (manpower, facilitators); manpower can be Fri, Sat or Sun; contact Ashley for potential facilitators; got $1000 endorsement from Burlington Women’s Club; paper background checks were brought up by Andy and Mona is working to make the online process happen

Treasurer (Paul) – motion made by Paul to approve P&L and balance sheets, seconded by Kris, approved by chapter. Motion made by Paul to approve account agreements with North State Bank, seconded by Heather, discussion – sample contract passed around was for HOBY, but we have contracts with each account; we are not requesting debit cards for these accounts as we try to only deal with cash and checks.

Motion made by Paul to approve Heather Lee Snyder as temporary secretary of CIF, seconded by Andy, motion approved.

The transition to the new bank may be a little wonky, but please alert Paul if you see anything that needs to be updated.

Legal (Ashley) – everything is up to date at this point

Secretary (Heather) – Heather made motion to approve April and January meeting minutes, seconded by Beth, motion approved.
