Meeting Minutes

Board Members in attendance:

Ali Houchin; Catherine Lewis, Jamilyn Cole, Kris Montgomery, Liz Gallops, Mona Shah, Katie Johnson, Andy Zeh, Paul Hoover, Heather Snyder, Beth Barlow

Meeting called to order by Ali Houchin.

No CPGs tonight.

Area Updates

Community Fundraising Area Update with Jamilyn Cole

v Fit To Lead 5K

Ø Have 52 registrants right now and worried about the number; pulling out the last ditch efforts; some people not coming back from last year; specific suggestions for sign-ups; everything else is going great to get things ready for the race

Ø Manpower – need 20-25 people on race day; any help needed to get people to participate greatly appreciated

Ø Still have a couple of weeks to get more people; break-even number questioned; not worried that we will lose money on this at this point

v Question on when the close of fundraising done for HOBY

Ø It could be a few months after the project; time to do other fundraisers; remember to be mindful of when other projects are doing fundraisers; kickball tournament and possible bowl-a-thon in the fall

v Staying In

Ø First event held; thank you to all that came out; had a couple of guests come out; next Staying in will be in June at Carter and Deidre’s house for Wine and Cheese

v Project updates

Ø Wrap-up next month on Wine and Beer Tasting

Ø Relay – getting some people signed up; low attendance at the game day fundraiser

Ø Kickball Tournament – hope to have CPG soon

Ø Still looking for Goodfellows chair

Community Service Area Update with Mona Shah

v HOBY

Ø Coming up soon; looking for facilitators; not doing the old style form so go online; need manpower; full steam ahead and need more help; committee organized and staying on top of items

Ø Had training for Facilitators on April 14^th; good group of Juniors that came out for training

Treasurer Area Update with Paul Hoover

v Caught up with books

v Will be making motion in new business to change banks

v Motion made by Paul Hoover to approve the Profit and Loss report sent out for this month. Motion seconded by Kris Montgomery. Let me know if you see anything strange on the reports with the changeover of banks. Motion passed.

Legal Counsel Area Update with Ashley McDuffie

No report as she is out sick.

Secretary Area Update

v Kris Montgomery motioned to approve the minutes from March. Motion seconded by Heather Snyder. No discussion. Motion passed.

v Status checked on January minutes. Kris will be getting with Laurie on them.

New Business

v PNC Bank

Ø Having issues with this bank; checked into other banks; really like North State Bank; set to deal with small businesses; rates are good; have local locations; would like to get new check scanner; need new check books, checks, stamps, etc.

Ø Paul Hoover motioned to approve moving our CIF bank accounts to North State Bank and up to $1,000 from CIF reserves to cover a check scanner, new checks, stamps, books, and other necessary expenses subject to the approval by President Alison Houchin. Andy Zeh seconded the motion. Discussion: This is just for the CIF accounts, not moving the Chapter accounts. Motion approved.
