Raleigh Jaycees Board of Directors – Minutes

Presentation of CPGs:

- Ali introduced Shira to introduce Adam Enerson’s initial CPG for 2009 Haunted House. Shira reviewed primary purpose, initial goals and budget. Ali moved to approve the initial CPG as written with a $20,000.00 appropriation from the chapter, seconded by John. Ali pointed out that Adam did not properly showed his appropriation from the Chapter however the net return would remain the same. Shira mentioned that Adam and Cliff will have a report from HauntCon. Allison mentioned that she was uncomfortable in approving the CPG without the project chair being here to answer questions. Shira mentioned that we should try and ask project chairs questions during comments over the CPGs via e-mail. Danny mentioned that he thought the board asked Adam those questions during review of his Jaycee resume. Motion passed.

- Mona introduced John to introduce Alicia’s final CPG for 1st Trimester Open House. John reviewed the primary purpose, final goals and budget. Mona moved to approve the final CPG as written with a $0.00 return of appropriation to the Chapter, seconded by Khaner. Melissa asked if we knew why so many people were attending the Open Houses yet many were not joining. Jennifer asked if we knew how many joined after the 1st trimester. Allison asked if we could ask guests to the projects lists. Liz mentioned that Membership has started e-mailing guests that have visited projects. Motion passed.
