Cheryl Carlson was present to discuss the contract
being worked on with the Marriott for 2004 Goodfellows. The space will include
the ballroom and the junior ballroom. A $600.00 deposit is needed to secure the
space. The deposit will go towards the final bill and is non-refundable.
Christine Bauer moved to approve a $600.00
appropriation to secure the contract with the Marriott for 2004 Goodfellows.
Chris Compton seconded the motion.
Motion passed.
Community Fundraising – Karen Schellhorn
Brookhill Gala update
The Gala will be held at the Prestonwood Country
Club. There will be a full buffet. Anna’s Angels has already received
donations.
The committee is working on getting silent auction
items.
Still looking for HOBY facilitators. They are behind
in the goal for applications so far.
Treasurer – Christine Bauer
The proposed Policy Handbook for the CIF was sent
out. No responses from the board.
Christine Bauer moved to adopt the proposed Policy
Handbook for CIF.
Peter Ansbacher seconded the motion.
Reed Hollander explained some of the policies
included in the handbook.
Other discussion:
Only certain projects can be run within CIF.
The establishing board can set up accounts as needed.
HOBY and Goodfellows will be set up now.
CIF cannot make loans or pay the Raleigh Jaycees, but
can make advances.
The only time the board can move money from one
project to the other is if the project is no longer run.
