The Raleigh Jaycees are preparing for HOBY NC East 2016! If you’ve never heard about HOBY, it is in one word- OUTSTANDING! (Sorry, couldn’t help it!)

The HOBY Leadership Seminar is a leadership program for rising high school juniors, called “Ambassadors”. The seminar gives Ambassadors an opportunity to develop their critical thinking skills, learn about their personal leadership styles, and form an appreciation for community service.  They attend sessions featuring prominent speakers and participate in leadership development activities, including a community service project. As a result of their experiences, the Ambassadors return to their schools and communities eager to make a difference and share what they have learned. The Seminar runs from Friday June 17 to Sunday June 19.

RJC is in active recruitment of facilitators. Facilitators act as chaperones and facilitate small group workshops of 10-12 students throughout the weekend. Facilitators are paired with another facilitator and are trained prior to the seminar, with lots of guidance, support, and excitement along the way! You do not need to be an RJC member to volunteer.  If interested, please contact Cat Lewis and/or Rebecca Murdock at facilitators@east.hobync.org.HOBY 3
