2009 Distinguished Service Awards
to be honored at the 10th Annual Gala for Hope

The Raleigh Jaycees invite individuals and organizations in Wake and Johnston counties to participate in the nomination process for their 2009 Distinguished Service Awards. The Distinguished Service Awards are the highest awards a non-Jaycee can receive from any chapter. Awards recognize individuals from the community who have shown exceptional leadership qualities, an outstanding record of personal achievement and service to the community. This award can only be given once and only one recipient per category is selected annually.

Previous award recipients include community leaders, innovators, physicians, members of the clergy, professionals, public defenders, artists, activists, and many more. A few common traits and characteristics can be found among them all: intelligence, motivation, high energy, compassion, leadership and dedication. Thus, the recipients serve as examples to both the community at large and Jaycee members.  Winners in each category are also nominated to receive awards from the North Carolina Jaycees.  Unless otherwise noted, nominees must be between the ages of 21 and 40 as of January 1, 2009.

Distinguished Service Award winners will be honored at a ceremony to coincide with the Raleigh Jaycees Gala For Hope on Saturday, March 28th, 2009 at 7:00 PM, at The Royal Banquet located at 3801 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27607.

Award categories and forms are located below.  The deadline for accepting nominations has been extended to March 4, 2009 (postmark date) and the mailing address is on the form.  For more information, please contact Stacy Hanna at shanna@ncjaycees.org.
