A resident of Raleigh, Blackman has been a member of the Raleigh Jaycees for three years, serving most recently as community services vice president. Blackman is a software developer with IBM. Peter Ansbacher, who served as the 2006 president of the chapter, has been named chairman of the board. Ansbacher, who lives in Cary, is a six-year member of the Raleigh Jaycees and a sales representative with AT&T, The Real Yellow Pages. The Raleigh Jaycees executive board of directors is composed of chairman of the board, president, four vice presidents and 16 other board members all serving one-year terms. The following members have been elected to vice president positions: Carter Pettibone, Raleigh, fundraising; Paul Hoover, Raleigh, management development; Suzannah Tremmel, Raleigh, individual development and Jamilyn Cole, Clayton, membership development. The remaining members of the 2007 Raleigh Jaycees board of directors include: Susan Brosnan, David Crutchfield, Jilian Fairhurst, Pam Fisher, Alison Houchin, Bart Poynor, Patrick Sauter, Heather Snyder and Linnell Vaughan, all of Raleigh; Jennifer Jerzak, Alicia Nathison, Nader Sreyo and Charles West of Cary; Clifton Hamilton and Stacy Hanna, Clayton and Beth Worsley, Durham. Celebrating its 75th year as part of the Raleigh community, the Raleigh Jaycees is an organization dedicated to leadership development through community service. This 200+ member all-volunteer civic organization runs more than 100 community service and leadership development projects each year. The Raleigh Jaycees is an affiliate organization of the N.C. Junior Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce and Junior Chamber International. Membership is open to anyone between 21 and 40 years of age. The Raleigh Jaycees meet the first and third Tuesday of each month at the McKimmon Center on the North Carolina State University campus.
