Call to Order
Paul Hoover
- 2nd Trimester Socials Ali Houchin
motioned to extend the 2nd trimester membership social CPG an
additional month with no additional appropriation. Khaner Walker seconded
the Motion. No Discussion. Motion passed.
- National Convention Stacy Hanna motioned to allow
for up to $800 for reimbursement of Registration and housing for Heather
Snyder to attend and compete in Jaycee Jeopardy at the USJC Annual Meeting
in San Diego, CA September 24-28, 2008. The full housing allowance can
only be used after reasonable efforts have been exhausted with the state
and national organizations to find a roommate and split housing costs. Ali
Houchin seconded the Motion. Discussion: members are worried that we are
setting a precedence by funding their trip; concerned that we will have to
tell someone no in the future, continuing thing with others asking to go
to conventions, where do we draw the line, nothing against Heather
personally; dont think it would bring benefit back to the Chapter since
information not normally shared; not been impressed with State
Conventions; have hard time funding trip for very little work; think this
is a concern and we have told people no before; Beth Worsley motioned to
amend the motion to include a presentation to the board on the trainings
held at Convention; Jamilyn Cole seconded the motion. Discussion: would
like to see something not a full report and presentation but some type of
report to keep on the trainings; Heather is to return and make a brief
presentation to the board of any trainings attended. Motion to the
amendment passed with 2 nays by Ed Blackman and Stacy Hanna. Amended
motion passed.
- CIF World Burn Congress Cliff Hamilton made a
motion to fund the tentatively approved World Burn Congress CPG with
funding out of the general CIF bank account. Stacy Hanna seconded the
motion. Discussion: we did verify that there was funding put in that
account from the haunted house last year. Motion passed.
Meeting
adjourned.
