We will be having our fourth annual Red\, White and Blue < span class='il'>Picnic with the Cary & Raleigh Chapters participati ng! The Picnic is a time for us to get together an d celebrate our members and our friendships!

This year we will be at the Harold D Ritter Shelt er on Saturday August 10th at 12:00 PM to start! If you want to help setup we will be there at 11:00 AM!

Hamburgers\, hot dogs\, chips and drinks will be provided by the Chapt ers! Each person attending should bring a dessert and/or side dish to shar e! There will be the traditional competition for best dessert and best sid e dish with the 2 winners being awarded a gift card!

All guests and family members are invited to att end! This is a kid and pet friendly event so bring the family! Dogs must b e kept on a leash. There is a playground adjacent to the shelter!

We will be joining the North Carolina Victim Assistance Netw ork. The NCVAN Garden memorializes the victims of homicide. By volunteerin g at this event\, you’ll support and comfort the loved-ones of homicide vi ctims as they journey their path of grief. Keeping this garden beautiful f or them is so impactful. Volunteers needed for a memorial garden beautifi cation. We’ll be weeding\, planting and applying mulch. No prior gardening experience is necessary.
